I write with a heavy heart to inform you that I have resigned
from my internship assignment at
Gloria Dei. This was a personal decision, and a difficult decision,
made after careful prayer and
deliberation. I assure you that this has absolutely nothing to do with you
or your worship life I
know this will be difficult to fully understand.
It is unfortunate that our time together must come to a close
more abruptly than we had planned.
I, for one, will grieve very deeply over the loss of our relationship,
and the ministry we have briefly shared together as the priesthood.
You heaped nothing but loving support upon me as I continued to learn
and practice ministry.
I will ever cherish how our walks have crossed and am confident this body
will continue to breathe deep the breath of God;
weathering uncertain times with the assured promise of resurrection.
I will regret our opportunity for a proper goodbye and for hugs or handshakes,
but each of you will be in my prayers always.
I eagerly anticipate new life and new possibilities ahead,
not only for me, but for all of us.
“Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought
forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are
God.” (Psalm 90)
